My Dad's Brain

My dad's brain doesn't always work right. Sometimes he says things that hurt me, or make me feel bad about myself. Sometimes I really feel that he loves me but I usually want to stay away from him so that I won't feel bad.

Once my dad was really confused. He thought that the devil was in our house, in the TV and toys. He said that the only way to get rid of the devil was to burn the TV and toys. So he did. It was late at night and made me scared. I really believed him at the time but now I see that it was just his messed up brain. Still I can get scared when something reminds me of that night.

But I remember the angels that I saw in a dream that were protecting my house. There was a gold one and a silver one. They make me feel better if I think they are protecting me. But sometimes I forget or stop believing.
